 Custom Designs

Custom stationery sets the tone for your event by greeting your guests long before they arrive at your wedding day. It’s our joy to create pieces that capture your love, your style, and the emotional energy of your partnership and your wedding day. While we do design for events that require invitations only, it is our preference to work from the very beginning with save-the-dates to establish a strong thread of design that we see through to invitations and the wedding day with day-of paper goods, signs, and other design details. For this reason, we encourage you to reach out as early as possible in your planning process to secure your date. Click through below to enjoy some inspiration from past clients’ custom events.

What to Expect

1.

After you submit our custom design inquiry form, I will check my availability- the calendar is open? Yay! I’ll reach out to set up a time for a quick phone call so we can “meet” and talk through any details that questionnaire didn’t cover.

2.

You’ll receive a custom quote tailored to your wedding design and budget. This quote contains inspiration images and detailed descriptions of the options I recommend for you. Then we fine-tune your estimate based on your response to my recommendations and I send you a homework assignment to gather all the important details we’ll include in your stationery.

3.

We design! This part of the process begins with a Concept Design Plan containing sketches, inspiration images, color palette, and descriptions. I’ll ask for your feedback to this before I pull out my paint brushes.

4.

I paint! I design! You receive a set of painted and designed proofs to review. We’ll refine these together to ensure every detail is exactly as lovely as possible and then we send your designs to print! If you’ve chosen Stone Fruit assembly, I’ll put your pieces together with care and mail them for you. If you’re gathering your pals together for an afternoon of envelope sealing and stamp-sticking, I’ll ship your pieces directly to you.

Investment

Investment in wedding invitations with Stone Fruit begins at $1500 for custom-designed wedding invitation suites. The average Stone Fruit client invests $5000+ in custom stationery from Save-the-Dates through to day-of designs.

Save the Date Inquiry

Designing a Save-the-Date requires 2-3 months. Inquire 4-5 months before you hope to mail your Save-the-Dates to ensure you’ll find a place on our design calendar.

Mail Save the Dates

Mail your save-the-dates 6-12 months ahead of your wedding. Destination weddings require more time to plan, so send them out between 9 and 12 months out. A sweet spot for in-town or semi-destination is around 8 months.

Invitation Inquiry

Invitations require 2-4 months to be designed and produced. Inquire as soon as possible to make sure you secure a place in our calendar. Starting the conversation 3-5 months before you wish to mail your invitations is ideal.

Mail Invitations

Mail your invitations 8-10 weeks ahead of your wedding. Some clients want to give guests as much time as possible, but it’s ideal to give your guests enough time to respond, but also a sense of urgency to reply in a timely manner.

Collect RSVPs

Ask in your invitation for guests to reply 3-4 weeks ahead of the wedding date.
